Though I have a question. How do you get the drums to sound like that??? Hard but not overpowering?

I EQed the drums a little bit to make them sound more clear and not within the same range as the other instruments. But I do that almost every time, so I dunno for sure. XD Could just be this particular set of percussion. ;o
